Fresh Alpine air and stunning views

There are endless possibilities for walking and biking straight out of the door of the apartment, with maps and detailed information from Herr Berger's Reservations Office next door - see Contact.

Children can roam safely exploring the forest and mountain streams with just the cows for company.  Hike 45 minutes to the top of the Gerlosplatte and you are surrounded by the high Austrian Alps and view of the Krimml Waterfalls - the highest in Europe. 

Another 30 hike from the apartment gets you to the GletscherBlick Alm with spectacular views of the Glacier and huge lake below.  The children can enjoy the petting animals and you can buy the locally made cheese and schnapps.

The are numerous places around the huge reservoir to enjoy a warm summer's day picniking and bathing with stunning alpine views providing picture postcard back drops.  The highest Austrian sail and windsurf club is located 5 mins drive away next to the characturful Seealm stubl the other side of the reservoir which has the best burgers.  It is possible to hike down to the reservoir from the apartment via the piste in around 30 minutes, and it you can comfortably hike round the entire reservoir in around 3 hours.  Biking is obviously quicker!

Krimml is 5 minutes drive down the mountain with the world famous Krimml Waterfalls which are the highest in Europe and have numerous beautiful hikes around the area and a visitor centre.
